#49 All bridges offline
Closed: stale by tjzabel. Opened by jflory7.

  1. Move to AWS infrastructure by Fedora Infra
  2. Register 27 new NickServ accounts for each bot
  3. Run playbook with updated NickServ password for each individual bot

I need a Libera staff member to increase the registration limit on my email address so I may register all 27 needed accounts to get the bridge working

hey @jflory7 : anything we can do to help with this? it's quite hard to keep everyone in the loop now that lots of folks only monitor telegram

Hiya, a gentle ping here. Anything we can do to help move this along? It's now causing some loss in communication etc. since half the folks are on the IRC/matrix side, and the other half on Telegram.

Hey @ankursinha, thanks for being patient. We ran into a large setback with the Libera transition, and this forced us to pivot and roll out the Go (more updated) version of TeleIRC. This means we then needed to change our Ansible playbook to mirror this new deployment.

The good news is most of this work is now done, and we are now "blocked" on me and @jflory7 finding a time to sit down and do and incremental rollout of the new playbook to make sure everything is running smoothly. Stay tuned :)

Hi @tjzabel , thanks very much for all your work. That sounds great. :sparkles:

If there's anything at all we can help with, please do let us know.

As an update, we've deployed an initial Ansible playbook currently in production for all RIT-related IRC/TG channels https://github.com/FOSSRIT/infrastructure/pull/97

Once this PR is merged, I believe we should be all set to translate these changes to this repository, and then push to production for Fedora.

Work is not in scope anymore. Fedora has moved off TeleIRC.
