As there have been changes to inventory to use python3 it would be nice if the python scripts under script directory would also be updated.

scripts/merge-standard-inventory
scripts/str-filter-tests

Isn't is both of them already using python3 #!/usr/bin/python3.

I guess, this issue was opened 4 months ago. I think the scripts have been updated since then. :)
