a place to try out a way to layout modules (may be deleted)

Check out the dot file and then you can render your changes with

dot -Tsvg graphing.dot > graphing.svg && xdg-open graphing.svg

if you view the file in a browser, the links will work. We could do detailed sub-diagrams this way.
