#394 Set default timeout for tests

Currently each test will default to a timeout of 0 (i.e. no timeout). It is easy to adjust per-test and some types of tests can fail by just hanging.

As such, set a default timeout of e.g. 30min. I expect the typical test is quite fast, so the timeout could also be lower than this.

If anyone has a test that is slower, then they can easily adjust it after inspecting the failure.
